Today was Peters birthday! We started with birthday song and presents. Peter had ordered bacon and eggs, so that's what
he got. Note the hat. It stayed on until evening bedtime.
After breakfast it was time to play, before going to school and pre-school. Peter brought with him 32 chocolate-chip
cookies that Signe had baked yesterday evening (using a recipe from the excellent baking cook book provided to us by
Christina for x-mas).
The phone suddenly rang! Here, a lively conversation is going on, I think with Merete. I never got on the line.
Today we had great weather (20 C and sun), so in the afternoon we had our birthdaycakeparty on the front lawn.
Peter is digging in! The nice clothes was one of the presents; we bought it in Chinatown, SF.
After coffee it was time to check up on the mail of the day. Here is a singing birthday-card from Irene. Peter almost couldn't believe it!
Here the letter from Margrete and Lasse (Signe's parents) is being opened.
Lasse had yet made another fantastic story book. They are utterly amazing, made up by himself, many pages and lots of illustrations.
They will be prized posessions of the family for generations to come.
Thanks to my energetic efforts, Peter and Ingrid are become more and more Americanized. Peter wanted to have dinner at Tom's Tavern;
our local burger-baron. I had arranged a special, surprise treat for him..!
Love - Signe, Mikael, Ingrid and Peter
